Lighting Falls are the most common home accident. Be smart - dont walk around the house in low light! Use good lighting and low energy light bulbs. If you are up during the night? Put on a bedside light before you get out of bed.

Many people are burned in house fires. Chip pans and smokers materials are the biggest causes. Make sure cigarettes are put out, especially before going to bed.
Always use a fireguard and fix it to the wall. Dont hang washing around a fire to dry.
Give yourself early warning of fire - fit a smoke alarm, check it regularly and make sure the batteries are working.
