Falls account for 51% of all accidents!
8.5% of all accidents happen on the stairs.
Falls happen at low level and from heights.

 

Low level falls

Low level falls include trip hazards. Children naturally fall and trip as they develop their walking skills.

Falls from high levels are the least common but the most severe!

Falls Prevention: Children 0-2

Falls from stairs can be prevented by use of stairgate.

Always use screw fitted gates at the top of stairs buy British Standard approved Stair gates.
